The impact of motivational quotes for work on my goal achievement process has been profound.
Interestingly enough, my fascination with quotes began back in 2003 during my first year of college, thanks to my beautiful, loving mother (more on this shortly).
Notably, I consider the following 12 motivational quotes to be epic because they helped me build a six-figure online business by the age of 25.
Furthermore, they also inspired me to enroll in university at 34 to earn a Computer Science degree.
After that, I landed a job at a billion-dollar company, General Motors, for three years, where I received the coveted award of “Exceeded Expectations.”
Thus, these Motivational Quotes For Work and Life are genuinely life changing, and I urge you to reflect on them.
Hopefully, one resonates with you, becoming a tool to help you reach your most ambitious goals.
Let’s go! 💪
Motivational Quotes For Work to Inspire Success
1. “The Triumphant Warrior Works Hard And Sacrifices Sleep For What They Desire.” ~ Mother

My mom had two favorite quotes she would share with us, her four boys, whenever she thought it fitting.
This is one quote she would often recite, and it’s the same quote that kept me awake at night while I was studying for my college exams.
This illustrates the significant influence we have on our children.
What we tell them can profoundly affect how they see the world and ultimately shape their lives.
Essentially, my mom was providing me with a formula for success:
Work hard and be willing to sacrifice sleep.
She might not have realized it, but she played a big part in my habit of pulling all-nighters.
She may not like to admit it, but she is partly to thank for my “Winning over Sleep” mentality.
Is it healthy?
Research says no.
But there are times when you need to push harder to maximize your day, and that sometimes means losing some sleep.
Thank you, mom. ❤️🙏
2. “Never give up on a dream just because of the time it will take to accomplish it. The time will pass anyway.” ~ Earl Nightingale

This is another quote our mother would often recite to us.
My younger brother, a Speech Pathologist, recently shared how this quote significantly influenced him as he pursued new goals.
It greatly influenced me, too.
From a young age, this powerful quote taught us not to fear how long achieving something might take.
Consider this: whether you attend college or not, four years will pass either way, right?
You can either be four years older with a degree or without one.
The choice is yours.
3. “When you want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe, then you’ll be successful!” ~ Eric Thomas

This is one of my favorite motivational quotes, which is why I keep it on my vision board so I see it every day.
This practice ensures that I am constantly reminded of the intensity needed to achieve my biggest goals.
4. “If my mind can conceive it, and my heart can believe it – then I can achieve it.” ~ Muhammad Ali

Arguably the greatest boxing champion of all time, Muhammad Ali, gave us a glimpse into the mindset that allowed him to become a legend in the sport of boxing.
This serves as a perfect example of why I love quotes.
They offer a peek into the minds of some of the most successful individuals in history.
Ultimately, our mindset is the key driver of our life’s path and our personal identity.
So, if the greatest boxer of all time repeated this affirmation to himself and the world…
If this was his internal dialogue, then I want to ensure it becomes my internal dialogue too—and it has!
5. “The people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.” ~ Rob Siltanen

I fell in love with this quote in early 2013.
It comes from the iconic Apple “Think Different” campaign.
Have you seen the promo video?
It gets me fired up every time I see it.

This quote reminds us that we’re allowed to set and pursue goals others may deem crazy.
I’ve had people literally laugh at my biggest and “craziest” goal…
But here I am, going full force towards it!
Why?
Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do. 😉

6. “Struggle Breeds Greatness”. ~ Jurassic World

I love good quotes, even when they come from films.
I remind myself of this quote often, so that when disaster strikes, my mind understands it is time for war and, hence, more growth.
No struggle, no greatness. 💪
7. “Talent is cheaper than table salt. What separates the talented individual from the successful one is a lot of hard work.” ~ Stephen King

If one of the most accomplished writers of all time dismisses talent as less valuable than “table salt” and champions hard work as the key to success, I’m taking his advice seriously, not with a grain of salt.
See what I did there? 😆
In essence, this quote reinforces that talent is just a starting point; hard work is the great equalizer.
8. “Genius is 1% talent and 99% hard work.” ~ Albert Einstein

If a certified genius openly admits that his intelligence stems more from hard work than innate talent, this offers both you and me hope and the encouragement to strive for genius-level achievements in our lives.
While there’s debate about whether this quote was truly his or someone else’s, I’m not hung up on the specifics.
9. “The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.” ~ Lao Tzu

I’ve been holding this quote close since 2012, making sure to glance at it on a regular basis.
Starting a journey can sometimes feel overwhelming, yet this quote inspires me with the reminder that every great journey starts with a single step.
It also brings to mind the Berlin Wall.
It started as a mere idea, and eventually, the first brick was laid.
The rest, as they say, is history.
10. “The successful warrior is the average man, with laser-like focus. ” ~ Bruce Lee

I often remind myself of the power of focus, the core idea behind FocusMaster™.
Simply put, focus acts like a magnifying glass that directs sunlight to start a fire.
The more attention you give to something, the faster it manifests in your reality.
11. “If it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you.” ~ Fred DeVito

This is a reminder that struggling with a tough problem is never a waste of time.
Knowing that challenges lead to growth keeps me optimistic during particularly tough times at work or in life.
12. “I Can Do All Things Through Christ Who Gives Me Strength.” ~ Philippians 4:13

I have this quote prominently displayed in two places: on my vision board and on my desk.
This is, in other words, the most important quote of all.
At 27, by the grace of God, I realized that Jesus Christ was much more than just a crazy guy who got crucified for claiming to be God.
The more I learned about His life and work on the cross, the more I became convinced that Jesus was not only the most loving and forgiving being to ever walk on earth, but also the most courageous, mentally strong, and intelligent.
Needless to say, I am a huge fan of Jesus Christ.
He is the only being I worship and idolize.
Jesus allows me to live a life without limits.
With Jesus, I feel invincible.
With Jesus, I can do all things! 😇
If you are not a follower of Jesus, I invite you to ask Him to come into your life.
If you call on His name with a sincere desire to know Him, He will find a way to reveal His beautiful soul to you. That’s a promise.
